The Benefits

The Lifeplan Education Savings Plan.
It simply doesn’t get better than this...

  • Parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, godparents can start a Plan - basically any person who wishes to contribute towards the education expenses of someone they care for.
  • There is no age restriction for a child or student. The Plan covers start-to-finish education programs for all children, including those children with physical, intellectual or learning disabilities.
  • There are no entry or exit fees.
  • Your investment is capital guaranteed which means it will not reduce in value.
  • There are 2 ways to contribute to suit your own budget and lifestyle - either through an initial lump sum amount, or a combination of a lump sum contribution and monthly contributions.
  • If you need to raise or lower your contributions according to your circumstances, you can do so without any fees or penalties.
  • You can make contributions up to a maximum of $365,000 (previously $350,000) per nominated child or student. This limit will be reviewed annually with effect from 1 October and may be increased to reflect rises in the cost of educating your children.
  • The Plan covers primary, secondary schooling and tertiary education fees and expenses which include University, TAFE and other registered training organisations in Australia or overseas.
  • You are in total control of your money as you can access your money at any time, for any purpose - and there are no withdrawal fees.
  • Lifeplan charges only one simple and competitive management fee.
  • There are special tax benefits not generally available in other investment and savings products.
